Train against a fast-tempo offense

Entering Sunday's Öresundliga match against Denmark's Holte IK, we focused on using this as a chance to train against a fast-tempo offense while developing some of our younger players. Holte took a commanding victory in the opening set, 10-25. After increasing our service pressure and mixing up our offense in the second set, we were unable to continue through to the end, falling 20-25. Out of the break, it was all Holte again, finishing the match off with a final set score of 10-25.

Sofie Bäck made some incredible defensive saves in the libero position, and Elin Andersson worked hard to spread the offense and give our attackers a chance against Holte's big blockers. Mathilda Carlsson again paved the way for our hitters, knocking down 8 kills, with Ebba Ekblad and Ida Lindbäck adding 4 each.

Despite the loss, we have seen much improvement in individual players that will carry through into the playoffs this March.
